Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by an elf or half-elf of neutral good alignment)

Of all the magic items created by the elves, one of the most prized and jealously guarded is a moonblade. In ancient times, nearly all elven noble houses claimed one such blade. Over the centuries, some blades have faded from the world, their magic lost as family lines have become extinct. Other blades have vanished with their bearers during great quests. Thus, only a few of these weapons remain.

  1. Considering that the basic property says 'Reroll if the moonblade already has a +3 bonus', I'd read that as meaning that +3 is the max. There is no weapon in 5e with a + higher than that, although they do say you can go higher if you really want to. I'd personally cap it at +3.
  2. A +3 weapon, a +3 shield, and a +3 suit of plate armor. But this answer is boring and no DM will just willingly hand these items out willy-nilly. You’re lucky if you get just one.

A moonblade passes down from parent to child. The sword chooses its bearer and remains bonded to that person for life. If the bearer dies, another heir can claim the blade. If no worthy heir exists, the sword lies dormant. It functions like a normal longsword until a worthy soul finds it and lays claim to its power.

A moonblade serves only one master at a time. The attunement process requires a special ritual in the throne room of an elven regent or in a temple dedicated to the elven gods.

A moonblade won't serve anyone it regards as craven, erratic, corrupt, or at odds with preserving and protecting elvenkind. If the blade rejects you, you make ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws with disadvantage for 24 hours. If the blade accepts you, you become attuned to it and a new rune appears on the blade. You remain attuned to the weapon until you die or the weapon is destroyed.

A moonblade has one rune on its blade for each master it has served (typically 1d6 + 1). The first rune always grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Each rune beyond the first grants the moonblade an additional property. The DM chooses each property or determines it randomly on the Moonblade Properties table.

Each creature that can see you and is within 30 feet of you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become blinded for 1 minute . A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. This property can't be used again until you take a short rest while attuned to the weapon.
97-98The moonblade functions as a Ring of Spell Storing.
99You can use an action to call forth an elfshadow, provided that you don't already have one serving you. The elfshadow appears in an unoccupied space within 120 feet of you. It uses the statistics for a shadow from the Monster Manual, except it is neutral, immune to effects that turn undead, and doesn't create new shadows. You control this creature, deciding how it acts and moves. It remains until it drops to 0 hit points or you dismiss it as an action.

Sentience. A moonblade is a sentient neutral good weapon with an Intelligence of 12, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 12. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.

The weapon communicates by transmitting emotions, sending a tingling sensation through the wielder's hand when it wants to communicate something it has sensed. It can communicate more explicitly, through visions or dreams, when the wielder is either in a trance or asleep.

Personality. Every moonblade seeks the advancement of elvenkind and elven ideals. Courage, loyalty, beauty, music, and life are all part of this purpose.

The weapon is bonded to the family line it is meant to serve. Once it has bonded with an owner who shares its ideals, its loyalty is absolute.

If a moonblade has a flaw, it is overconfidence. Once it has decided on an owner, it believes that only that person should wield it, even if the owner falls short of elven ideals.

Settling and Leaning Structures

Diligent construction contractors factor in the settling of a home when building it. Jarring windows and doors, and/or cracks in the walls around these framed-in features are basic indications of poor construction, a leaning building or more settling than should occur naturally. Use a level on the outside corners of the home to see if the walls stand upright. When a home’s doors and windows are sticking or won’t open or close, the framework could be under too much stress from uneven settling or slanted walls.

Foundation

Upper walls attach to a crawlspace foundation by bolted plates or joints. Use a flashlight to inspect the foundation where it meets the crawlspace walls. Check for loose bolts or poorly aligned joints. You probably won’t be able to see the supports or footings below a slab foundation. You can expect, however, to see harmless, hairline cracks in the visible exterior or interior concrete of any foundation. Check for large cracks that are wider at the top and narrow as they move downward, which may indicate extreme settling. Horizontal cracks in a foundation that’s backed into a hillside may indicate a home is sliding or being pushed off its footings.

Rotting Joists and Shifting

You may be able to check for rotten or bug-infested, crumbling joists by poking your head through a dropped-ceiling panel and jabbing the wood with a screwdriver. This type of decay or damage, if widespread, is costly and serious. However, other destruction, such as that caused by shifting, may or may not be reason for alarm. For example, anticipate even a 1- or 2-year-old home to have the odd crack in the drywall from expansion as the seasons go from warm to cool and back again. Even daily changes in temperature are a cause for shifting; think of the creaks in the night as your home's voice when it adjusts from the warmth during the day to the cooling period overnight to another warm sunrise. Even though cracked drywall is unsightly, it is not a structural issue. Moreover, it's a simpler fix than a roof, which can show evidence of more serious structural damage caused by shifting.

Roof and Load-Bearing Walls

Shifting, whether from changing temperature, age or a natural disaster such as an earthquake, can cause load-bearing walls to move off their marks. Load-bearing walls carry the load or weight of the home. They’re strategically placed between upper roof supports and lower footings. Exterior walls are load bearing, but some interior walls also help to keep a building upright. One way to check for shifting is to examine the roofline from a distance. If the roof appears to droop at the ends or sway in the middle, it’s possible a load-bearing wall has shifted from its upper support, lower foundation or both. Before you sign a purchase contract for any home, bring in an architect, contractor or home inspector who’s skilled in structural damage to dig a little deeper and take a closer look, or have your real estate agent write up the agreement subject to the inspection.

Unturned is a free-to-playsurvival game developed by Smartly Dressed Games, a one-man studio consisting of Canadian game designer Nelson Sexton.[1] Following a three-year long early access beta phase, it was released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux on July 7, 2017.

Gameplay[edit]

Unturned features several different game modes, all of which consist of the same basic concept of zombie survival. The game also has multiple difficulty settings.

In the survival game mode, the player's character is spawned on a game map with clothes depending on their skill set.[2] Players must find weapons and supplies to survive against the zombies. As the player progresses through the game, they gain experience points which can then be used for upgrades. Survival mode is also available in multiplayer. The greater aim is to survive, but the players may team-up or fight each other. Players must keep up their health, food and water, and radiation levels. Radiation damage can be obtained from getting hit by zombies or entering 'deadzones' without proper hazmat protection. The game's multiplayer option has created a platform for multiple kinds of gameplay, such as survival, roleplay, creative, paintball and battle royale style arena matches, similar to Roblox, where Nelson first started his development career.

The game consists of several permanent maps: Washington, PEI, Yukon, Germany, Greece, Russia, Hawaii, and France are all single player compatible survival maps. The latter 4 were developed by teams of developers more recently, and contain new additions like quests, a storyline, NPCs, and more Easter eggs to discover. Also in the game are Festive PEI, Festive Russia, and Halloween PEI, which gave certain maps holiday themes. There are also six arena maps available: Alpha Valley, Monolith, Paintball Arena, Washington Arena, PEI Arena, and Canyon Arena.

Arena game mode is for multiplayer only. Players are spawned in the middle of a map with supplies and weapons scattered around. The winner is the last person, or the last team, alive. Players may die due to being slain by other players or by crossing the boundaries of the map. The game will also spawn helpful items like armor, attachments for guns, and the 3 types of health items. These items are essential, as the game has an intense bleeding out mechanic that can finish a player without medical supplies. The game will also spawn vehicles, which can enable players to avoid the border or roadkill other players. The arena mode grants a massive advantage to teams in arena mode. Since there is no separated solo/squad modes, solo players will be up against teams who can aid each other. The game does not require teams to fight each other, so multiple players can win. Players who want to make a team must join a shared Steam group. Arena maps also contain hidden easter eggs and secret spots, which can aid the player in battle.

The game contains no currency but has a cosmetic system. After playing, the game has a chance to give players a cosmetic item, like clothing or effects for their character, or camouflage or skins for weapons. Players can purchase keys and cases from the steam market for $0.99 to get a random skin, or buy pre-selected skins for a higher price. Items can be sold on the Steam market to other players for Steam credit.

The game's story is spread out across all of its official maps. On the Washington map, there is a lab belonging to a company known as Scorpion-7. Outside the lab, there is an overrun military unit and within the building, in the basement, there are canisters containing zombies in stasis, one of which is broken. An apology note can also be found in which it appears the writer was attacked before the note was completed. It is assumed that this lab was ground zero for the start of the outbreak. The exact origin and the cause of the outbreak remain vague, but it is heavily implied that the virus was inadvertently created through bioweapons research the company was conducting, and the outbreak was caused by the escape of a test subject from their containment. It is unknown how long the outbreak has been going on at the start of the game. The player is introduced as one of the few survivors, hence the name of the game, 'Unturned'. The player can help the Coalition, the organization fighting the outbreak and locating survivors. The player can take quests to help the Coalition, but as the game has no true campaign, no move is made to get rid of or cure the outbreak. In singleplayer, there are no other players or NPCs except for in 'safezones.'

Unturned was developed by Nelson Sexton from Calgary, Canada.[3] Sexton started his career with Roblox, creating two of the most-popular games on the Roblox site, Battlefield and Deadzone.[3]Deadzone was a zombie-survival game similar to Unturned and is no longer available to play. Nelson was only sixteen years old at the time of Unturned's first release. Before Unturned was on Steam, it was played on web-browsers and was listed as Unturned 1.0. Unturned was originally listed under Steam Greenlight as Unturned 2.0.[4] It was successfully voted in by the Steam community on May 28, 2014. Unturned allows players to create custom maps, cosmetics and mods using an in-game editor, and allows them to publish these maps on the Steam Workshop.[5][6] The game was officially released out of early access on July 7, 2017.[7]

According to gaming website Kotaku, Unturned was one of the most-popular games on Steam in mid-2014.[8] Both Kotaku and Rock, Paper, Shotgun characterized the game's popularity as unexpected, since the game is mainly developed by a single person without a major studio's resources.[8][9]PC Gamer said that while Unturned had few real ideas on its own, it was a 'simple, accessible survival-simulator' that players may enjoy provided they could 'stomach the low production values'.[10]
